On July 13, 2013, "Glee" star Cory Monteith was found dead in his Vancouver hotel room near two empty champagne bottles, a used hypodermic needle, and a spoon with "drug residue." It was later revealed that the 31-year-old had died of a heroin and alcohol overdose. Though Monteith's death was shocking to many, he had long struggled with addiction. He had been using drugs and alcohol since the age of 13 and entered rehab for the first time at 15. From there, he struggled to maintain his sobriety, occasionally relapsing into his old habits. Tragically, it's believed that Monteith's last trip to rehab — which he made just a few months before he died — was the reason why his tolerance was so low when he overdosed.
