 On May 31, 2020, 15-year-old Pieper Lewis was forced to go to the home of 38-year-old Zachary Brooks to have sex with him in exchange for marijuana. At the time, Lewis was living with Christopher Brown, 28, who had taken her in off the streets and immediately started trafficking her. When she told Brown she didn't want to go to Brooks' apartment, he held a knife to her throat until she agreed. When Lewis arrived at the residence, she says Brooks made her take vodka shots and smoke marijuana until she passed out — then repeatedly raped her. When she came to, she saw a knife on his nightstand and stabbed him to death in a fit of rage. Now, she's been ordered to pay $150,000 in restitution to his family. Go inside this tragic case: 

 On the morning of January 26, 2020, a helicopter carrying legendary basketball star Kobe Bryant and eight other people — including Bryant's 13-year-old daughter Gianna — to a youth basketball game suddenly crashed into a California hillside. Everyone on board was killed. Experts later attributed the helicopter crash to a combination of low-lying clouds over mountainous terrain, which can be incredibly dangerous even for experienced pilots. In this case, the pilot, Ara Zobayan, made the "poor decision" to fly at "excessive airspeed" in an area where he could not see properly, leading him to become disoriented and accidentally crash.
