The woman responsible for the 1955 lynching of 14-year-old Emmett Till died today at 88. A warrant was issued for her arrest 68 years ago, but it was never served. Death is not justice. She lived a full life. Emmett Till did not. So, on this day I remember 14-year-old Emmett Till. He was killed on August 28, 1955, exactly 10 years to the day before I was born.
