Regina Kay Walters just wanted to start a new life outside her hometown of Pasadena

Regina Kay Walters just wanted to start a new life outside her hometown of Pasadena, Texas when she ran away at

age 14 in 1990. With her boyfriend Ricky Lee Jones by her side, she packed up her things and left town in February, headed toward Mexico. Walters and Jones didn't get far before encountering a truck driver who said he’d give them a lift. But they had no idea that this trucker was a monstrous serial killer named Robert Ben Rhoades who had already killed at least two people and is suspected of slaughtering up to 50.

After Rhoades killed Jones, he kept Walters as his captive and sex slave for several agonizing weeks. And just before he finally killed her, he snapped this final, terrifying photo of her backing away in horror.
