The Arab Slave Trade: The Part History Tries to Skip

The Arab Slave Trade: The Part History Tries to Skip

For over 1,200 years, Africans were trafficked through Arab and Islamic slave systems across North Africa, the Middle East, and the Indian Ocean.

This wasn’t a side chapter.
It was a millennium-long system.

African men were:
 • Castrated to prevent reproduction
 • Worked to exhaustion or killed
 • Erased from future generations

African women and children were:
 • Sold into domestic and sexual slavery
 • Absorbed, renamed, and stripped of identity

That’s why today there are very few Afro-Arab descendants.
This wasn’t accidental.
It was demographic erasure.

Religion was used as justification—
just as Christianity was later used by Europe.
Different scriptures.
Same playbook.

This isn’t about blaming modern people.
It’s about telling the full truth.

Africa was attacked from the north, east, and west.
You can’t heal what you refuse to name.

Truth isn’t hate.
Truth is repair.
